Sing the Musicals

Musical Director: Simon Curtis
Piano: Rhiannon Pritchard
City Voices Concert Orchestra

If you LOVE musicals then this is the concert for you - there really is something for everyone, young and old. In a programme which ranges from musicals old and new, you'll hear numbers from West Side Story, Hairspray, A Star is Born, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, Carousel, Jersey Boys, Wicked, Frozen 2, Sister Act, Wizard of Oz and many more. The concert also features a tribute to Stephen Sondheim, who died at the end of 2021.

As the song goes, "Let's start at the very beginning" which takes us back to 2008 and the debut concert of a new choir City Voices Cardiff entitled SING THE MUSICALS. As we return to our summer programmes after our enforced absence it seemed a very good place to start again 14 years later! We hope you can join us.

We are delighted to once again be supporting our dear friends at Forget-Me-Not Chorus as our nominated charity. The Chorus - one of Wales' leading dementia charities - has been organising weekly singing sessions for people with dementia and those who support them since 2011. Today, over 1000 people - from millennials to centenarians - participate in their singing sessions every week, across Wales and now further afield too.

The Forget-me-not Chorus is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Charity Number 1151812).

The raffle and retiring collection from this concert will be going towards the fundraising efforts for our nominated charity.
