The Society of Women Organists presents an engaging Lunchtime Organ Concert with a difference......
The award-winning London-based Concert Organist Ghislaine Reece-Trapp and the acclaimed Organist, Teacher and founder of the St Giles International Organ School, Anne Marsden Thomas MBE, join forces for a combined Organ Concert and Educational Event exploring the magnificent Concert Organ in St David’s Hall.
This event is in two parts - firstly a Lunchtime Concert of specially selected organ works and lasting 55 mins or so, with Ghislaine at the console and Anne on stage who, with the aid of the large on-stage CCTV screen and a grand piano, will provide brief informed commentaries and musical illustrations highlighting some of the varied and interesting aspects of Ghislaine’s Programme.
This Concert ‘Taster’ will be followed with a more in-depth presentation, suitable for all ages and lasting about half an hour or so, and revealing just what goes into making music ‘happen’ when seated at the console of such a magnificent Concert Organ
