|Soloist||Beatrice Rana, Piano|
|Chopin||Études, Opus 25||31'|
|Stravinsky arr Agosti||Firebird||12'|
Chopin transformed the 19th century fascination for piano studies into works of unparalleled depth and feeling that reflect his own heightened sensibilities. Two generations later, Ravel’s acute ear for keyboard sonorities found expressive outlet in numerous works which, like Miroirs, abound in subtle colours and
evanescent textures. Van Cliburn Award Winner Beatrice Rana completes her recital with an arrangement of one of Stravinsky’s finest ballet scores – an intoxicating blend of exoticism, magic and romance.
