Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra: Tchaikovsky Night

Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra presents a concert of music by the world’s best loved composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The programme opens with the stirring Marche Slave followed by Tchaikovsky’s most joyous symphony. Based on folk tunes and originating from Ukraine, it is sometimes known as ‘Little Russian’.

A selection from Tchaikovsky’s most sumptuous ballet The Sleeping Beauty leads to the concert finale in the spectacular 1812 Overture.
