Our 50th birthday brings an opportunity to celebrate the pieces which have meant most to us over the years. We are delighted to be joined by Cardiff Ardwyn Singers who celebrate their 60th season performing works together by Byrd and Purcell. We start with the great anthem Gibbons’ O clap your hands, an 8-voice tour de force. Then a composition by Tallis, his 7-voice Suscipe quaeso is one of his greatest. Byrd’s Tribue domine is one of our most performed items. Also featuring music by Palestrina and Gombert – having recorded all his Magnificats in 1996, and Arvo Pärt, having dedicated a disc to him in 2014. John Rutter needs little introduction – this is a masterpiece. There is plenty more to explore in the years to come! Peter Phillips
