Conductor and Artistic Director of Welsh Proms Cymru, Owain Arwel Hughes CBE said: “It is a great disappointment to both the performers and our loyal patrons that we have had to cancel this year’s Welsh Proms programme.
“However, the Welsh Proms organisers are currently working with St David’s Hall to arrange an additional concert next spring to launch Welsh Proms Cymru 2021. A date will be announced as soon as confirmed via the St David’s Hall and Welsh Proms Cymru website and social media channels.”
Cardiff Council Leader, Huw Thomas said: “The health of audiences, performers and staff at St David’s Hall are of utmost importance, but we look forward to welcoming you back to the National Concert Hall of Wales as soon as it is safe to do so.”
