Peter Hewitt’s Beethoven Magic!
Here's the latest beautiful Beethoven recital by acclaimed pianist, Peter Hewitt.
Peter said: "It’s a very short little Presto movement from the 25th Piano Sonata. Definitely Beethoven in a good mood - I hope you enjoy!"
The below video features the majestic final movement from the Tempest Sonata Op 31 No 2 in D minor – Beethoven’s 17th Piano Sonata.
Peter said: “It’s a wonderful piece that I first heard in a live broadcast piano recital from St George’s at Brandon Hill in Bristol given by the pianist John Lill many years ago in the 1980s. Curiously, I have now got to know John very well indeed and he has always been very supportive of my music – praising me far too much I’m sure! Also curiously, later this year in December I’m playing a recital at the same venue which will include Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata! It’s funny how things come around sometimes. I hope you enjoy this magical movement.”
