Braving the Stave Podcast

Braving the Stave Podcast

If you have attended an International Concert Series performance at St David’s Hall in recent years, you may be familiar with Jonathan James’ fascinating pre-concert talks.

Braving the Stave – Live is an excellent and insightful new podcast series hosted by Jonathan James, and the first episode is available now on popular podcast platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Google and many more.

There are three parts to Episode 1 – virtuoso violinist Nicola Benedetti talks about Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, which she would have performed at St David’s Hall in May 2020. Then presenter, conductor and workshop leader Jonathan James is in conversation with Nick Collon, the conductor of the Aurora Orchestra. Finally, join Jonathan as he discusses the Aurora Orchestra and the Eroica Symphony – all really interesting and in nice digestible, short chunks for all classical music lovers.
