Cardiff Bach Choir
1962-2022

Set up in 1962  to promote the music of Bach in the city, the choir has over the following 60 years performed all of Bach Major works. In addition the choir has a wide ranging repertoire and continues to explore new music as well as old favourites. It continues to be one of the leading amateur choirs in Wales.

It is fitting that for our Diamond Jubilee concert we should be performing the St John Passion, considered by many to be the most sublime and dramatic of Bach’s works.

Under the leadership of musical director Stephen Moore we have an excellent line up of soloists :

Paul Smy as the evangelist, Peter Edge as Christus, Jamie W Hall as Pilate, the counter tenor Kieron-Connor Valentine, Tenor Guy Withers and soprano Gail Pearson. Accompanied by British Sinfonietta this promises to be a fitting celebration as we look forward to many more years of music making in the city.

This is Tony Adams raw, from the heart - and the head.

Inspirational captain of Arsenal, who lifted 10 trophies over three decades, and lionheart leader of England, Adams is one of the great figures of English football.

Off the field, he acknowledged his alcoholism and in sobriety established the Sporting Chance clinic that continues to help sportsmen and women with addiction and mental health issues.

Funny on football, wise on wider issues, Tony will deliver a revealing and entertaining experience like no other sporting figure can.
