Covid-19 Safety Measures
We are delighted to announce that our Box Office will reopen to the public from Wednesday 26 January 2022, 9.30am – 5pm and we will then revert back to our usual number of 029 2087 8444.
With social distancing restrictions lifting from Friday 28 January 2022, our first show back will be Luther at 7.30pm that evening.
Many thanks for your continued loyal support and patience over the last few weeks.
- COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY
Please note that we require proof of your Covid status in order to gain entry. Without a valid covid pass you will not be permitted to enter the venue under Welsh Government regulation.
From Monday 15 November 2021, under Welsh Government guidelines attendees for all shows at St David’s Hall will need to provide proof of COVID-19 status to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Therefore, you will need to complete at least one of the following before your visit:
- Download the NHS Wales Digital Pass to your smartphone with a barcode that can be scanned when you arrive at the venue. Please see the following link for how to access the digital app: https://gov.wales/get-your-nhs-covid-pass
- Apply for a paper version of your vaccination status. Please call 0300 303 5667 to arrange a paper copy.
PLEASE NOTE: Accompanying photo ID is required with the paper version of vaccine status.
- Provide proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken up to 48 hours before the event and have access to the result via text or email.
PLEASE NOTE: Producing your COVID-19 vaccine record card
will NOT be accepted as proof.
U18s are exempt from a Covid pass
COVID-19 certification varies for different regions depending on where you are coming in from:
WALES & SCOTLAND
Please use the NHS COVID-19 Pass for certification. For more details on the requirements and how to download the pass, visit the NHS website.
We will accept the EU Digital COVID certification.
OUTSIDE OF EUROPE (INTERNATIONAL TICKET HOLDERS)
You will need to take an LFT test 36 hrs before arriving. You will upload your test result via the UK Government website, who will follow up with a confirmation text message which you must display on entry. Use the Government Website (https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result) to register your result. You should use your accommodation/place of residence as the postcode for registering your result.
Alternatively, you can find your local testing centre, and show the text message confirming your test result. Use the Government Website (https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result) to register your result. You should use your accommodation/place of residence as the postcode for registering your result.
IF YOU WERE VACCINATED OUTSIDE THE UK
You need to get proof of vaccination from the country where you were vaccinated.
Check here if you were vaccinated in a country or territory that is on the list of approved vaccination programmes.
Please visit our Covid Pass FAQ for your information.
Please keep a close eye on our website and social media for any further updates.
Please note, face coverings must be worn for anyone aged 11+.
Please be aware that masks are mandatory in all areas of the building, including the auditorium and may only be removed when eating or drinking. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
There is no legal requirement as of 7 August 2021 to distance yourselves 2m from others but we would encourage you to keep your distance as much as possible to avoid transmission of the virus.
Where possible we have amended the usual layout of the venue to accommodate a one-way system to minimise social contact during your visit.
We have implemented enhanced cleaning schedules to keep everyone as safe as possible and use fogging machines to sanitise surfaces, seating and contact points.
Hand sanitising stations are prominently located throughout the building. Please use them when arriving and leaving the venue, and as you wish throughout your visit.
If you have accessibility needs, please ask a member of staff for assistance.
Please have your tickets readily available for our Front of House teams to check.
Where possible, please use e-tickets, which will minimise social contact or bring along ‘Print at Home’ tickets to avoid collection queues at the Box Office.
Our bars will reopen from 28 January 2022 and we are delighted to resume this service. Please be reminded that masks are required whilst standing, so do not consume food or drink whilst standing and take all refreshments to your seat.
St David’s Hall is now a cashless venue going forward.
Only one person/household bubble can be permitted in the passenger lift at any time.
Unfortunately, this will potentially create long queues, so please allow plenty of time if you have accessibility issues.
Please allow extra time when using our toilet facilities. Extensive cleaning will be undertaken before, during and after each performance.
Our cloakroom is now open for most performances and a small charge is applied for the storage of items. Please do not bring large bags into the venue and remember to wear your mask when dropping off and collecting your belongings.
Our ventilation system is brand new and will remove any particles as the COVID setting sees the entire volume of air replaced with fresh air six times every hour inside the auditorium and in the foyers. Therefore, the auditorium may be slightly cooler than usual due to the increased ventilation.
Do not enter St. David’s Hall if you have COVID -19 symptoms or have been advised to isolate by NHS Test, Trace & Protect teams during the time of your visit. You must not visit if you have had a positive COVID test within 10 days and should isolate immediately.
Many thanks for your patience and assistance with implementing these
COVID-19 safety measures. Now relax and enjoy the show!
