During the summer months Cardiff takes on a carnival atmosphere with events taking place in and around Wales' capital as part of Caridff Festival. Of all those events the Welsh Proms Cardiff are both the longest established and the jewel in the crown. For over a week every corner of St David's Hall, the National Concert of Wales throngs to a variety of different music, ranging from some of the city's youngest and most talented musicians to international quality symphony concerts, creating an irresistible party buzz
Whether it's listening to the superb range of music on offer, just browsing in the gallery or relaxing in the cafe and bars, it's all here for you at St David's Hall.
This year's season welcomes a dazzzling array of soloists, performers and orchestras including ol friends like pianist Peter Donohoe, a Proms debut by the brilliniantly talented young Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth through to musical stars of the West End, including Caroline Sheen and David Shannon.
The Festival's Artistic Director Owain Arwel Hughes CBE will be joined by some of the finest orchestras; Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of The Welsh National Opera, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra.

Welsh Proms Volunteer Scheme
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly volunteers to help run this summer’s Welsh Proms Cardiff. You will work alongside arts professionals, gain invaluable work experience and get to see some wonderful performances. Volunteers must be aged 16-25 and be ready for some long but enjoyable days (and evenings) working in all departments of St David’s Hall, the National Concert Hall of Wales.
