An Exciting New Look and Name

St David's Hall is delighted to welcome you to their new look International Concert Series 2010/2011. Bringing international orchestras, soloists and conductors of the highest calibre to the National Concert Hall of Wales is no mean feat but this year we really have something to shout about. Join us and experience the magic of world class performances in a wonderful venue with a friendly atmosphere and a superb acoustic - right here in the centre of Cardiff. Undoubtedly a season to remember!

Highlights Include:

Dresden & Salzburg Gold
Visits by the Staatskapelle Dresden, the world's longest established orchestra and the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg who reach back to Mozart.

Father and Son
Concerts from two leading international conductors, both father and son: Neeme Järvi and his son Kristjan Järvi, brimming with fresh ideas, charisma and technical prowess.

Scintillating Soloists
Solo recitals from violinist Tasmin Little and the first visit by young Chinese superstar pianist, Lang Lang.

Out of the Opera House
Lothar Koenigs conducts three concerts by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, ranging through the majesty of Bruckner, the Magyar magic of Bartòk to Stravinsky's glittering Firebird Suite.

Great Pianists
Seven great pianists in seven great concertos with Kit Armstrong, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Jean-Phiippe Collard, Peter Donohoe. Kirill Gerstein, Freddy Kempf and Andras Schiff.

Philharmonia Series
Christoph von Dohnányi, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Andras Schiff conduct one of Britain's leading orchestras.

A Tiny Sound-bite of Heaven
Thrill to the ethereal sounds of Renaissance England with The Sixteen, one of the world's greatest choirs.
