From great romantic masterpieces by international orchestras, rapt spiritual choral classics to the sharp scintillating sounds of early and contempoirary music, there are few better places to enjoy the thrill of a live concert than St David's Hall.
Bringing international orchestras, soloists and conductors of the highest calibre to the National Concert Hall of Wales is no mean feat but this year we really have something to shout about. Russian Romance
Dramatic, colourful, full-blooded Rusian romantic classics from two fabulous Russian orchestras: The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio.
Contemporary Classics
Get the maximum impact from great contemporary classics by John Adams, Philip Glass, John Tavener and Arvo Pärt performed by the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales.
From The Opera Pit To The Stage
Three concerts by the Welsh National Opera Orchestra and Lothar Koenigs:
Tudor-inspired works from Britten and Vaughan Williams, music inspired by the allure of love and two great testaments of faith from Bruckner and Messiaen.
Eighteenth Century Magnificence
Choral Baroque and classical splendour from Florilegium under David Hill with flautist Ashley Solomon and soloists Elin Manahan Thomas, Helen-Jane Howells, Nick Pritchard and Robert Davies.
Stunning Soloists
Piano concertos from Noriko Ogawa and Natasha Paremski, violin concertos from Chloë Hanslip and Christian Tetzlaff and Elgar's Cello Concerto from Natalie Clein.
The Sixteen at Christmas
Described by The Times as"...a tiny soundbite of Heaven", The Sixteen are back with Medieval and Renaissance seasonal music alongside Christmas classics by Britten and Poulenc.
Overseas Orchestras
Warmly romantic masterworks by Bruch, Dvořák, Schubert and Johann Srauss from the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
