Sibelius          Karelia Suite

Sibelius          Violin Concerto

Sibelius          Symphony No 5

One of the best-loved and most charismatic of conductors, Vladimir
Ashkenazy returns to Cardiff in music by a composer with whom he has long been associated; his recordings of Sibelius are classics, renowned for the expressive warmth, colour and drama he brings to the music. He is joined by Vadim Repin, much admired for his purity yet taut
virtuosity in the slow burning intensity of Sibelius's Violin Concerto.
